HURRICANE SCREEN SPECIFICATIONS
#1000-HS SERIES
B. Main Frame: Extruded Aluminum 6063-T5, 1.643 x .966 x .400 with .060 wall thickness. (.075 wall thickness for assembly screws), hollow L shape with leg configuration. 3/4 x 3/4 x 14 gauge steel angle (powder coated to prevent rusting) inserted into jambs and head and sill of bottom sash only.
C. Corner Gussets: .250 solid aluminum corners mechanically stamped to main frame to keep square and to prevent screen from racking.
D. Center Divider Bar: Extrude Aluminum 6063-T5, 1.092 x 2.50 hollow shape with .092 wall thickness. Center divider bar is anchored to sub-frame with (2) #8 x 1/2 square drive screws at each jamb side. An aluminum I-beam with a wall thickness of .125 will be inserted into the hollow of the center divider bar.
E. Flat Bar: Extruded Aluminum 6063-T5, .062 wall thickness. 1" x 1" flat bar with leg on each side to receive a vinyl snap-in cover to hide screws. Flat bar is held down with #7 x 11/32 square drive sms screws. Screws are 1-inch apart 6-inches from each corner and then 2-inches apart on rest of screen.
F. Wire Mesh: T-304 12 x 12 mesh, .035 stainless steel wire with black powder coat finish.
G. Hinge: 3/4 x 3/4 x .050 aluminum hinge located at top and center of screen. Top sash is anchored to sub-frame with (2) screws on each jamb opposite from hinge side making the top sash stationary. Screws can be removed for cleaning purposes. The bottom sash is operable.
H. Latch: Barrel bolt latches located on bottom sash only, one on each side.
I. Finish: Standard colors are Mill Finish, White or Bronze
J. Installation: Screws for jamb side - 3" from each end and 11" on center thereafter. Screws for header - 3" from each end and 11" on center thereafter. Screws are not needed in sill.
